I haven't written here in awhile and it doesn't make sense for me to put news on our website yet as we aren't sure what will happen.
Earlier this week Tim's father collapsed and was taken to the hospital. In the ambulance he went into cardiac arrest. He is currently in the cardiac ward at Hartford Hopsital with more tubes in him than I have ever seen in anyone in my life. He is able to respond to questions by nodding and can stick out his tounge, which speaks to his personality so we know he's with it (maybe in and out, but he's there). But, he is unable to talk due to the fact that he has a tube down his throat that is aiding his breathing. He was in renal failure which i guess is normal for anyone that has a heart attack, but he was severely dehydrated as well so they aren't sure the damage that was done to his kidneys. He had some pre-existing heart conditions that caused one side of his heart to be very weak, and therefore his blood can only be oxygenated properly by being hooked up to the respirator. The big concern is his chronic pulmonary hypertension coupled with the low blood pressure. He may be fighting an infection as he has been spiking temperatures but until his blood pressure comes up his condition isn't really improving yet. I am wishing mr. colby a full recovery, this family does not deserve another loss so soon after loosing his son Andrew. A part of me thinks this is totally out of our hands and he may be hanging on just because we aren't ready to let him go. My greatest concern lies with Tim, his brothers, and his mother and how they will react if the worse should happen. I am also sad myself because if the worst should happen, Tim's father will never see any of his boys get married or have children. So, please have Tim's father and family in your prayers, because this isn't an easy time for any of us.
